Finding-the-Path: Case 22

History

A 63-year-old man presents with abdominal and left flank pain after he was repeatedly kicked in the abdomen during an assault. Physical exam reveals tender, echymotic areas over his abdomen and left flank. His vital signs are stable and his neurological exam is normal. His hematocrit is 38% and urinalysis shows 10 red blood cells in his urine. A radiograph of the pelvis does not show any fractures.
