This atlas, as part of the BrighamRAD project, is under development by the Decision Systems Group and the Division of Nuclear Medicine at the Department of Radiology, Brigham & Women's Hospital.

Currently the atlas contains twenty one cases. Most of these cases are presented with relevant case history, clinical information and pertinent SPECT images along with co-registered scans (SPECT merged with CT or MRI). Temporal studies have also been included when indicated.

All material in this atlas is under copyright protection by Brigham and Women's Hospital. Information and images in this atlas may be used without cost provided that use is limited to non-commercial purposes and the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School is given acknowledgement.

To make this atlas as useful as possible, we need your help. Please take time to fill out our feedback Form and let us know your reactions and needs.

Read me before you start

General Information

1. This atlas contains 1100 files and occupies nearly 
50 MB of disk space.

2. All cases have been imaged at the Department of 
Radiology, Brigham & Women's Hospital.

Some patient information has been altered or witheld 
in order to protect confidentiality.

3. Most SPECT images have been processed conventionally. 
The right side of the patient is represented on the left 
side of the image. However, some images were processed 
using a different protocol. These images have been marked 
"L" to remind users of the patient's orientation.

4. Some case histories have either been witheld from 
publication, or will be provided soon.

5. We need your help to enrich our question bank which 
is currently under construction. Any help will be appreciated, 
and contributions will be acknowledged.

6. We would also appreciate help in any of these areas:

- More titles and categories
      - More cases in existing categories and titles
      - More tutorials

HELP

If you are having problems downloading files, read this:

In order to view movies and to listen to sounds, you must 
have QuickTime and a movie player application (e.g. Simple 
Player or Movie Player on Macintosh), or for sounds, a sound 
player application installed on your machine.

Some browsers ship players with their software, while 
others are available free of charge at FTP sites. Once you 
have installed a player, go into the "Preferences" menu of 
your browser and tell it which application to use if you 
have to view QuickTime movies and/ or play sound files.

If you are using a Sun workstation and want to view movies, 
you will have to switch to a computer that supports QuickTime 
movies to run, as SunOS does not support QuickTime.

If the player application does not launch, you can still 
download movies and sound files and manually play them 
outside the web-browser. If the browser won't launch 
because there is not enough memory, try quitting other 
applications and then downloading the files again. If the 
player still won't work, it may be corrupted and you 
may have to reinstall it or switch to a different application.
